Update 10:46 PM Pacific time Nov. 17: The maintenance described below has been completed and all services are running normally.
Between 10:00 PM and 11:59 PM Pacific time on Saturday, November 17, 2018, the MySQL database software on some hosting servers will be updated. This will cause an approximately two minute interruption of service on each MySQL-using customer Web site (including WordPress sites) at some point during this period.
Specifically, this will affect servers ending in digits 7, 8 and 9, such as “web07” and “web08”. Servers ending in digits 0-6 are not affected now and will be updated later this month.

The PHP developers recently released versions 7.1.24 and 7.2.12 that fix several bugs. We’ve upgraded the PHP 7.1 and 7.2 series on our servers as a result.
These changes should not be noticeable, but as always, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any trouble.
Some customers who transfer their hosting service from another company to ours are already using the third-party Google “G Suite” or Microsoft “Office 365” mail services.
Since those are paid services, most people want to continue using them, even though they’re changing where their website is hosted. Until now, though, that meant manually adding the necessary DNS records to our nameservers (or asking us to do so).
To make this process easier, if we see that you use either of these services, we now try to automatically copy the necessary DNS records when you sign up. You can review the imported records in our control panel (and delete them if you need to). The signup confirmation message we send by email will let you know if we imported anything.
Between 10:00 PM and 11:59 PM Pacific time on Saturday, October 27, 2018, each of our hosting servers will be restarted. This will cause a brief interruption of service (less than 5 minutes) for each site at some point during this period.

The problem has now been resolved, and other servers were not affected. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused our customers.
We’re investigating the root cause (a Linux “kernel panic”) to ensure it does not recur.
