PHP 7.0.2, 5.6.17, and 5.5.31

The PHP developers recently released versions 7.0.2, 5.6.17 and 5.5.31 that fix several bugs. We’ve upgraded the PHP 7.0, 5.6 and 5.5 series on our servers as a result.

These changes should not be noticeable, but in the unlikely event you experience any trouble, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Using a version older than 5.5? Time to upgrade

As we’ve previously mentioned, the PHP 5.5 series is now the oldest version we recommend, because it’s the oldest version that still receives bug fixes from the PHP authors.

If you’re using version 5.4 or earlier, you should upgrade to at least 5.5 to get the advantage of speed improvements and bug fixes. Make sure you’re using the latest available versions of any PHP scripts you’ve installed, then:

  1. Login to our “My Account” control panel.
  2. Click PHP Settings.
  3. Choose a newer version of PHP, then Save Settings.
